Montgomery, AL – 7/23/26 —The Board of Directors of the Alabama Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ACADV) is pleased to announce that Joy Jones will be Executive Director of ACADV beginning August 31, 2026.
After an extensive nationwide search, Ms. Jones was chosen out of over 40 candidates as the best qualified person to lead ACADV into its next period of growth. Ms. Jones comes with decades of experience in the movement to end gender-based violence, having been both a state administrator of federal and state dollars for victims services, as well as leading the Mississippi Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
In addition to her extensive experience as an administrator and advocate, Ms. Jones also sits on the Board of Directors of the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV). NNEDV provides training, technical assistance and advocacy to 56 state and territorial coalitions regarding issues important to ending domestic violence across the country.
Please join us in welcoming Ms. Joy Jones to ACADV. A more formal introduction will be held at our October Domestic Violence Awareness Luncheon on October 8 at the Montgomery Multiplex at the Crampton Bowl. Details to follow.
